The Joke is on us !





Many years ago when I was growing up there was a movement to end legal racial discrimination in the USA .
Martin Luther King, Jr.made one of the most famous speeches ever !

He said:-

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."

There was a joke going around at the time that this would lead to an end of discrimination on grounds of race , sex and ABILITY !

People laughed and said no way . M.L.K. himself believed in discrimination based on " the content of their character " and rightly so !

He also said
  • " A nation or civilization that continues to produce soft-minded men purchases its own spiritual death on the installment plan. "
  • " I submit to you that if a man hasn't discovered something that he will die for, he isn't fit to live. "
  • " Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity. "
A wise man indeed and quite happy to judge and be judged .

But now the joke is on us . As seen in the local council offices .
We are now required to so believe in diversity for diversity's sake that we cannot judge at all , not even on someone's intellect ( or lack of it no matter how stupid they are ) or their talents , even if they are totally talentless .
We must value even that which is worthless because everyone is equal from Albert Einstein to Jack the Ripper . Both had talents and intellect so who are we to judge !

What soft minded people in government are so afraid to discriminate on any grounds at all that they come up with this stuff !
But this not a joke it is real .
As M.L.K.put it :-" A nation or civilization that continues to produce soft-minded men purchases its own spiritual death on the instalment plan. "

Six Month Service - Vav Simon Chiropractor !

Every so often I visit a chiropractor to keep my bones - especially my back - on the straight and narrow . This stems back quite a few years ago when I was having problems with it . I was fine working but if i stayed in the same position for more than a few minutes my back started to hurt . I could not sit down , I could not stand up , I could not ignore the pain ! I asked around and went to my Doctor . A few people told me Vav Simon got lame horses to gallop , The doctor said it was quack useless and unnecessary treatment . She told me she could fix it in two or three visits - this did suprise me and sounded good ! She tapped me about and stretched things very gently , told me to get dressed and walk about .
